I suppose one could add more combinations, but maybe best in a
separate file, and add the file in the config.

The right-Ctrl key is made as the Compose key (which composes an accent
with any letter) by Xmodmap.
You can see the defaults all in the file /etc/X11/Xmodmap.
They are all commented out, but they serve as examples.
If you copy that file to your home directory as .Xmodmap,
you can modify it as you want.

Though the Compose key allows you to do any accented letter, I don't
think it can be used for non-latin characters.
