[SLE] SPAM: shutdown 10.1

This issue also applied to earlier versions of SUSE than 10.1 for me.
If I click on K-Menu -> Logout -> Turn Off Computer the screen fades to
gray.
However, about half the time or more the computer never shuts down.
Sometimes
if I do it a second or third time I will succeed.
However, if I right click on a blank area of the desktop and click on
Logoff [logname] and then TurnOff computer it always shuts down.
This happens on both my desktop and laptop so it isn't hardware specific.
I wonder if SUSE is aware of this issue?
