I've been told to update my email to roadrunner via
IE with ActiveX. I cannot do that since I'm running
Linux. Anyone face this problem who can give me
the instruction for a Linux User? Hope I'm not the
only one facing this problem.

First, I would let them know that you don't run Windows and ask for an alternative solution. If this doesn't work, which it likely will not, you might try installing IE on Linux via wine or crossover office.
