On 2006/12/31 07:00 (GMT-0600) Glenn Holmer apparently typed:
I think the instructions for penguin neutralization bear repeating:
(as root)
cd /boot
cp message message.original
cd ~
mkdir temp
cd temp
cpio -iv < /boot/message
[edit gfxboot.cfg and change to "penguin=0"]
ls | cpio -ov > /boot/message
You can always copy back message.original if you feel pangs of
conscience at what you did to the penguins.
I've just done it on three desktops and a laptop here at home, and it's
easy and fast.
Easier and faster in /boot/grub/menu.lst, s/gfxmenu/#gfxmenu/.
