Re: [opensuse] Installing new Installation source

Hy,
I'm using openSUSE 10.2 with great satisfaction, but when I trie with
Yast to make a new installation source in a local directory
/windows/C/MyDownloadFiles/ it reacts with: Can't make installation
source. Unknown source type for dir:///windows/C/MyDownloadFiles/
Why this? May be I did something wrong, but what?
Thanks for suggestions

Hi André,
it's nice to hear that you're happy with openSUSE. :)
If I understood you correctly, you want to use a local installation source,
thus files you (probably) downloaded. First of all, did you fetch an iso or
source files? Either way, I assume they are located
in /windows/C/MyDownloadFiles/... (or maybe a subdirectory?).
In case of adding a local installation source, one has to specify exactly the
(sub)directory where the directories "suse", "media.1", "boot" and so on are
present. So, could it be possible that you haven't specified the right path?
For instance, it could look like this:
/windows/C/MyDownloadFiles/openSUSE-10.2/i386/DVD1
Greetings,
Alex
