I hate to say it (because I don't want this to turn into a bashing
session), but my experience with SuSE 10.0 on AMD64 x 2 is almost identical.

10.2 on AMD64 (Turion) laptop, apart from some initial acpi problems
(solved by moving to a 2.6.20 kernel) has been solid (well apart from
needing to get round to dealing with the ati drivers to get the dual
head working)
