Right click on chameleon and select KMenu style.

Here are log files for Xorg and KDE:
In home directory; note: it begins with dot, which means hidden file:
.xsession-errors
In /var/log
Xorg.0.log
kdm.log
If errors list missing fonts it is harmless.
There are always some that are missing :-)
More important would be to bring better driver in xorg.conf.
If you don't mind to copy and paste /etc/X11/xorg.conf-post .
