Bottom Post, gotcha, now, that worked great, configured my monitor to
normal resolution, and now I don't have the Kmenu icon... I've been
looking through the various menus and options but haven't seen
anything resembling a setting to hide or change it...

Right click on chameleon and select KMenu style.

My right click options are: Switch to KDE Menu Style, Menu Editor, and
Panel Menu.
I've looked through Menu Editor and Panel Menu but haven't found
anything resembling the menu icon, as there's no chameleon currently
there, but I don't see an option to put it there either. I should note
that if I switch to KDE Menu Style, the chameleon is there.

OK, note this on side, or ask it in separate thread, later when the rest of
graphic is fixed.

Also, when I restart it lists several failed errors and stops the
process? the gui seems to close fine, and I end up at a prompt, but
I'm not sure what I could do to save the error to a file so I could
include it in the email.

Here are log files for Xorg and KDE:
In home directory; note: it begins with dot, which means hidden file:
.xsession-errors
In /var/log
Xorg.0.log

There weren't any errors, but there a couple of warnings:
(WW) RADEON(1): Failed to detect secondary monitor, MergedFB/Clone mode
disabled (WW) RADEON(1): No Connector Info Table found!

I did just connect a 2nd monitor, and it worked at first but shut off
after a few minutes and now won't work in Windows or Suse... no idea
what's up with that...

That sounds that either monitor or graphic card is bad. Turn computer off and
try to use monitor without picture instead of good one. If you don't see the
boot screen, than monitor is bad, if you do that the other card is bad.

kdm.log

The only non-font error in kdm.log is:
(EE) AIGLX: DRI module not loaded

If errors list missing fonts it is harmless.
There are always some that are missing :-)

More important would be to bring better driver in xorg.conf.
If you don't mind to copy and paste /etc/X11/xorg.conf-post .

It is missing the display size.
It seems like not plug and play monitor and that means very old one.

Xinerama is off so it is acting like two independent screens.
Moving content from one side to the other should not be possible, the only
thing that is common to both are mouse and keyboard. Most common reason is
different color depth, it has to be the same for both. While it is set so in
Section Screen for both, it can happen that xorg can't calculate any
configuration for smaller monitor to work with depth 24, and set resolution
lower than it is asked for.
