Lately my wife has been using my OpenSuSE 10.2 laptop. Now she wants to

I can install a new version of the xine library from
http://www.xinehq.de/. I'm just looking for some general comments from
those of you who have successfully installed it. I'd most likely use
Kaffeine to view the DVDs.
If you like kaffeine, then go ahead and install xine libs from there or
from packman, removing the xine libs installed from SuSE, because
kaffeine uses xine libs as the engine. Xine has lots of frontends (for
instance, gxine, which has a working plugin for firebird).
(I know this has been discussed before).
Only a few thousands times.
