Ich habe deswegen an ein RAM-Problem gedacht aber
unter Windows läuft das System relativ ohne Abstürze.
Ich habe auch im Systemlog nachgeschaut fand aber nichts verdächtiges.
So nun wie löse ich das Problem?

I would test the memory with memtest (just insert the SuSE dvd and start
memory check or something like that on the boot menu...).

I disagree on this one. From my experience Windoes indeed uses way more
memory for a given task than Linux does.
That's probably true, but just boot windows and check out the memory usage.
Do the same on SuSE with kde and you'll see. On SuSE there are much more
processes running...

I'm not saying Linux wastes lots of memory...


, so it probably doesn't touch the

corrupt part of the second module (if it is a corrupt)...

it simply does not test the memory as rigorously and thus sort of
prefers to fail during runtime, should the memory modules fail.
