[opensuse] Small applet to check email

Hi guys,

Can you suggest a small applet type application that will check an
Outlook box for new messages and allert me visually. I have tried
Evolution but that does not seem to work, and I do not have sound
working so I need something small and visual.

I am using KDE.
TIA.
George
