I use Acrobat Reader to fill in the forms, and then print them to the
pdf printer to generate a new filled in pdf file. You cannot save the
filled in form, only print. You can also print to a ps file and use
ps2pdf to create a pdf file, which I have also done. This works when
the pdf printer's ghostscript has a problem with the converting the file
for some reason.
