and installed the cups-pdf debian based repository

but didnt have the patience to read throught the whole 'coolsolution'.
Maybe you might have better luck.

1. Click on the printer icon
2. Properties
3. For the print command use kprinter
4. Click OK
5. Click on print
All Done. It will now use kprinter for the printer.
