Hi all,
I am running OpenSuse 10.3 64bit on a Intel Dual Core 1.6Ghz CPU and
MainBoard Asus P5KPL-VM (Chipset Intel CH7) and a Silicon Image SiI
3512 Sata Raid Controller (Mirror), the scope of this server is to
play File/Print/Fax Server Role and I need to use the console trough
the serial interface.
My problem is about Hardware:
The Modem I am using has to be PCI (because the only com port
available has to be used for console)
...
d. Someone who can tell me where I can find a PCI Card with an extra
Com Port that is supported by OpenSuse 10.3 (so I can use an External
Serial Modem)
That motherboard appears to have 8 USB ports. Can you not use a USB modem?
Cheers, Dave
