YOU is showing a update to the kernel and is shows a recommended KMPS
package, when trying to install the kernel update even with the KMPS
packages I still get dependency errors. The problems kernel modules seem
to be XEN and NDISwrapper related packages. Anyone else having this
problem or is it just me?

Please post more erroroutput. (For instnance what zypper up reports.)

Ciao, Marcuw

Zypper does not go into very many details, YOU goes into more detail about the
dependency problem. This is what zypper up says:
"2 Problems:
Problem: No valid solution found with just resolvables of best architecture.
Problem: Cannot install kernel-bigsmp

Problem: No valid solution found with just resolvables of best architecture.
With this run only resolvables with the best architecture have been
regarded.
Regarding all possible resolvables takes time, but can come to a valid result.
Solution 1: Make a solver run with ALL possibilities.
Regarding all resolvables with a compatible architecture.

I am attaching a text file that has what YOU has to say about the dependency
conflict.

This is because you have ndiswrapper from Packman which has not been updated yet. I expect the packman crew
to update it soon.

You can just use SUSE's ndiswrapper package too.

ATI rpms should be provided by ATI already.
