This is how I solved that problem in Gnome.
After the Mouse is connected and working, Click on the Computer Menu,
then select Control Center. When the Control Center opens, choose
Sessions. Then on the Session Options Tab click the "Remember currently
running applications" button.
I tried this, but didn't seem to work. If I reboot it finds the mouse
fine, but every time I come back and the screen saver is on the mouse is
disconnected.
Other ideas?
Thanks,
James
