xawtv is the best one that I found. Kopete (if you use that) also has
webcam support. Another possibility to test is kdetv. HTH.
xawtv can't find /dev/video0. kdetv can't find any input devices. lsusb
shows the webcam. :-(
Try Camstream. I've never had very good experiences with xawtv either.
