Your topic outline is interesting. It would be easier to help if you gave us some idea of the audience for your presentation, and what you'd like their take-aways to be.

Discussing file systems & IO for application developers, so they can program to it, for example, is very different from talking about how files and devices appear to GUI desktop users, so they can feel at home in a different environment.
