What settings?

Sorry, I was in a rush when I did that. The settings in kpowersave.
Are there are other settings I need to look at?

What did it say was missing?

"tpctl: Neither /dev/thinkpad/thinkpad nor /dev/thinkpad exists. Exiting."

There should be a thinkpad package. Search Smart Package Manager for
"thinkpad." and make sure that's installed.

All of the thinkpad packages that where on the install DVD are
installed. And, since I have no idea how to use smart package, that
doesn't help me. I don't believe that it comes on the install DVD. I
have heard of it. My question is why is this necessary package no
longer available from the install like it was in v10.1? I have also
seen that there are some issues with v10.3 and thinkpads, but I
haven't figured out how to make use of any of the suggestions I have
found.

Thanx
