[opensuse] Possible bug: 'Flashing' screen in oSUSE RC 1 with KDE

When I start openSUSE RC 1 (from live CD) my screen goes black about
every four seconds, stays black for half a second and then goes back
to normal. I'm using an Asus K8S-MX motherboard and it's onboard video
port, with a Samsung SyncMaster 940N. Is this a known problem/bug in
KDE? If not, is more info needed to fix this problem?
