When on desktop right click doesn't allow you to add an application.
So many other problems.
How can I replace kd4 with kde3.5 in suse 11.0?
Using YaST software management. Look for Patterns (in Filters) and add KDE3 pattern.
for best results, first do this:
$ su
password
# init 3
# yast
[that is, run the character console version, not the GUI]
and then use the filters to find software to remove,
and software to add.
"The 'cc' command is the C compiler. You need to install the development
environment. Easiest way is to go to YaST -> Software Management and
when it finally comes up, select 'Patterns' in the drop down 'Filter'
list. Scroll down to the 'Development' category and check the 'Base
Development' check box. This should get you all the tools the
compilation process will need. "
I followed the instructions as above and got on the internet using wireless.
Thanks to all who helped.
