Adding Main Update repository failed
http://download.opensuse.org/update/11.0/ failed
Valid metadata not found at specified url
wrong checksum for primary.xml.gz
THanks for your patience.
Can you paste http://download.opensuse.org/update/11.0/ into a web browser
and access the page, if you can compare the web browser proxy settings with
the settings in yast2 proxy you may find the problem. Regards
Dave P
Yeah Can see it via a browser no problem. the only way is a workaround. I have
to disable the proxy, put dns numbers and a gateway on the client, reboot,
remove the online update repo, zypper clean, reboot, yast, online update
configuration, reboot, yast online updade, reboot, yast online update, reset
the proxy, remove the dns and thats it. iI's about 1/2 hour per machine. I'm 4
machines through. I found this method by trial and error. You may be able to
help cut down the time it takes. I've 16 clients to go. There's a cool beer or
so for anyone in the Alfaz region in Spain to come and help. If you can do it
there's a chance of a permanent job.
Thanks again.
