Go to Yast->network devices and click the DNS/hostname tab. You can change the hostname there.
Yes, it did not ask me for a hostname when I installed either.

Submitted as bug 404836. I noticed the same thing. There is no network
configuration option at all in the installation process.

In fact, it assigned an arbitrary set of characters, linux-1pkh, which
has of course made a mess of my home network. How can I fix the
hostname? I hoped to find a way in yast, but I haven't yet. I know
where to assign external hostnames, both by hand and in yast, but I
can't find a way to assign my laptop's original hostname.
I don't mind reinstalling, if that's necessary (which I can't believe!),
but I still don't know where in the installation to set the hostname, so
that hardly seems likely to improve the situation.
How can I fix this?
