[opensuse] Loginprocess anomaly

Hello everybody,
Using:
Suse 11.0 , KDE3.54 ,NXfree.
Suse 11.0 is derived from upgraded SuSe 10.3 no KDE4 installed.
Is there some documentation to read about the loginprocess ?
I have strange situation.
A local login gives me my old standard kde3 desktop.
A remote login gives me a kde4 desktop !!!
How is that possible ???
(there is only 1 remote system)
Does anybody have any idea where to look ?
