[opensuse] Only 4 virtual desktops switchable with <CTRL>-<Fx>

Hello,
I recently installed opensuse-11.0 (with kde-3.5) and configured 12
virtual desktops as I always did on older suse-releases. But in
11.0, I can switch only to the first four desktops with th <CTRL>-<Fx>
key combinations.
Any ideas what I can do to make the key combinations for the remaining
desktops working?
