There were 3 files: 2 named with the dvd title plus a long string of
numbers, and a CACHEDIR.TAG file. No combination of renaming or moving
those changed the situation. Response:

This was the result for every one of the 4 combinations of tests. Note
the kill -9; simple kill wouldn't do it. All I got was a featureless
blue video window and a featureless black control window. And no clicks
on either of the windows (right or left clicks) got any response.
