[opensuse] Suspend2Ram fails sometimes

OpenSUSE10.3, NVIDIA, DellVostro1700.
I have a working suspend to RAM setup. But, 1 out of 20 times it fails - it goes down as normal but when I open the lid of the notebook (usually how I start it again), it just boots from the start, as if it forgets that it was in suspend mode.
The logs show normal suspend procedure and then nothing else.
How can I determine if it is a BIOS or OS problem?
