Henare and Carlos are right. One of the first hurdles to get over when you
start working with linux is learning how to get software packages on and off
your computer. It's actually quite simple, but daunting at first look. Not
because it's hard, but just because it is something different from
double-clicking on something.exe or something.msi or looking for setup.exe on a
CD-ROM.............

Glad I could help. This was one of the issues that scared the hell out of me
what I first started with Linux. Not knowing what to do, I was always scared I
was going to break my system if I tried to install something the wrong way. It
didn't take long to realize that I wasn't going to hurt anything loading and
unloading packages as long as I followed a few simple rules.

It just took longer to find the rules 8 years ago...
