Yes, mine was identical to yours previously. My changes made things
better, but it's still spotty at best.

I assume both are reachable.


Correct, both are reachable. I've also tried configuring with only
one name server just to eliminate a troubleshooting variable. The dig
command has never had problems resolving from either name server
anyway.
