Re: [opensuse] Strange desktop setup

Hi List,

I installed OS11.1 KDE 4.1 yesterday and since then I have not been able
to get the desktop to work in a manner I expect it to. The problem is
that the desktop size (vertically) is more than the actual screen size.
As a result I can not see the complete desktop. If I move the mouse
pointer to the top edge of the screen, the taskbar slides down past the
bottom edge of the screen and on moving the mouse pointer to the bottom
of the screen, the application's title bar moves past the top edge of
the screen. Is it the normal behaviour or is it a new "feature"?

Regards

No, not at all.

What video card and what module do you have installed? At konsole or an xterm
window, post the results of the following commands:

cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf

grep -E '\(EE\)|\(WW\)' /var/log/Xorg.0.log
