[opensuse] Kmix & Konq problems after upgrade

I was having some trouble launching applications to look at email
attachments. It was recomended that I update my Kmail which involved updating
Kde (Version 4.2.1 (KDE 4.2.1) "release 103"). I can now launch OOimpress from
Kmail but Kmix will not open to adjust volume and when I try to launch Konq it
gets a Fatal Error and (SIGSEGV).

Did I miss something with the update / upgrade ??
