Hi list,

- I'm in the proces of switching over to SuSE11.1 on my production PC
(love that phrase, makes me sound important :-))
- I've got my assorted bag of bugs - well, not many, really...one
anoying one being this one:

Knetworkmanager doesn't start by itself, thus I have no network after
login. I then fire up a shell and go (using my regular account)
"knetworkmanager". This causes knw to spring into life and do its thing.

- eh, any suggestions as to how to fix this?

Use a static address and use ifup method. IMHO servers should have static
addresses although some would argue the opposite.

Hi list and Ken,

- sorry I wasn't clear enough...my production PC is my laptop :-)
- of course all my servers have fixed IPs and all.
