This is not an Ubuntu-specific issue, it affects Suse and all
KDE4-based distros.



And in any case, the icon already exists in the taskbar!



Not if he does not have a panel (you mean panel, not taskbar).

If this is the case, then it is only a matter of ADD-ng (a) WIDGET and
selecting the DEVICE NOTIFIER.
