It's not even connecting apparently, usually it fails at about 40% of
fetching. Anything else I should try?

At last I could attach to the process and was able to make gdb work.
But to my surprise, kmail could download all the emails without errors
this time!!.

Last time it worked, it was more than a month ago. Weird...
