Hi,
i tried to upgrade my notebook from 11.1 to 11.2 using zypper dup. All
worked fine before reboot. First i noticed that scpm isn't integrated in
grub any more.
The mor severe problem is that the root filesystem which is a lvm volume
with ext3 remains read only after filesystem check.
I have no idea why!
Thanks for help.
Update:
I repaired the filesystem but there were many many errors. System did
not work properly, so i restored 11.1 from backup (wonder if one could
use lvm snapshots to make a test-upgrade?) and did a upgrade from PXE
(no optical drive installed). This worked much better. The remaining
issue is the missing integration of scpm in grub.
For everyone that does not know what this is: with scpm (profile
manager) you can define profiles (network, authentication, ...) and you
could choose the profile in grub with F3 or using a grub config option.
The hotkey does not work any more ...
A real useful feature for notebooks!
