I can only get:
dhcppc0:~ # rpm -q -a | grep -i java

But I guess the more thing is to which java is the symlink in
/usr/lib/browser-plugins pointing to?
/usr/lib/browser-plugins/javaplugin.so -> /etc/alternatives/javaplugin*
/usr/lib/browser-plugins/npwrapper.javaplugin.so*
/etc/alternatives/javaplugin -> /usr/lib/jvm/jre-1.6.0-openjdk/lib/i386/IcedTeaPlugin.so*
