Hello,
I have a cheap electronic photo frame that is not able to dispaly
phots randomly.
I have more than 1000 photos to display, with a name roughtly made
with the photo date.
If I I simply set the frame I see the images from the older to the
newest. this is quite boring :-)
how could I sort the photos in a semi-random manner to let them look
on the frame as if they where sorted randomly? I can of course change
Chances are its a FAT partition on the device so your options are limited
as far as doing anything magical such as making links to the files in
another order.
So you are pretty much stuck with making a copy of these pictures and
giving them new names via some automated process such as grabbing
some digits out of /dev/random and using this as part of a rename
script. Then write the whole mess back to the Frame's memory card.
