Well, yes, that's what I'm doing, but it doesn't stick. Does it work for
you?

I can drag and drop them to a new order in the Bookmarks Organiser, but
that's rather tedious, and I'd rather just sort them alphabetically with
one click.

If the bookmarks in a dropdown list, right click on the list header and
select "sort by name".

Hmm. Yes, that works. Thank you. I had expected to find that function in the
Organise Bookmarks module.
