I'm getting two errors when I start k3b.Someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I believe;
1) The first regards mp3 files:
"Solution: To enable Mp3 support, please install the MAD Mp3 decoding
library as well as the K3b MAD Mp3 decoder plugin (the latter may already
be installed but not functional due to the missing libmad). Some
distributions allow installation of Mp3 support via an online update tool
(e.g. SuSE's YOU)."
How do I access YOU? I can't find it in the yast2 online update section.
2) k3b can't find my DVD writer. I have previously used this writer in
SUSE 11.1.
No CD/DVD writer found.
K3b did not find an optical writing device in your system. Thus, you will
not be able to burn CDs or DVDs. However, you can still use other K3b
features such as audio track extraction, audio transcoding or ISO9660
image creation.
The yast2 system information screen shows the DVD writer was found by the
kernel and was assigned to /dev/sr0. I have not mounted it, as the DVD has
not been formatted. I am trying to burn an .iso image.
1. You can use the Restricted Formats installer - http://opensuse-community.org/Restricted_Formats -
to solve your madlib problem. I think that YOU is a typo, should be YAST2.
2. Make sure you are a member of the cdrom group. You can check by running K3b as root.
