Thanks. That tallies with Carlos' advice. I run rsnapshot (which uses rsync
under the bonnet), and when it sends me error messages they are addressed to
bob@xxxxxxxxxxxx The machine's hostname is barrowhillfarm. My initial guess
would have been bob@localhost for internal mail, as you suggest.
