Then I tried again as my normal account, and there it was again, hanging after the selection of Options.
I just rebooted and OOo hangs at the options.
I tried the other user, which has no problems.


Same section, entry "view", deactivate "use hardware acceleration" and restart OOo.

I'll try that when I can. I didn't do it when the options worked :-(



I re-installed 3.0.0.9 with the same effect : hanging OOo when trying to set the options.
I moved directory .ooo3 to have a new one created, which does not help.

Instead, you can try with a new user.


This user has no problems with OOo.


B.T.W. I tried to install a newer version of OOo, but Yast doesn't seem to have one although there are plenty of packages from OOo 3.2.0.7, just not the "main" packages. I do have the OOo repository in my configuration, with a "lower" priority (i.e. 98) than the OS 11.1 repositories.

Do you have the OOo stable repo? Install one from there, if you can. They have version 3.2.0.7, I see.

I have this as a YUM-repository : http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/OpenOffice.org:/STABLE/openSUSE_11.1/
I added this via the community repositories.

Maybe I should just upgrade to OS 11.2.
