Install kate and I think you'll be a lot happier, it's much more of a
developer's editor compared to kwrite.
That way you'll still be able to use e.g. ftp:/ kioslaves.

I tried Kate. But I didn't even found how to move line up and down. It
seemed to me a very poor. Maybe there are extensions for it? I tried to
find something but with no results. :-(
