[opensuse] sound in KDE broken....sort of

If I play any mp3's in Amarok, i cannot hear any sound in Firefox until
I completely close Amarok.
if I play a video in youtube or anything in Firefox, I have to
completely shut it down and restart Amarok to get sound.
in /var/log/messages I get
May 27 18:21:47 zeus pulseaudio[3363]: alsa-sink.c: Error opening PCM
device front:0: Device or resource busy
May 27 18:22:07 zeus pulseaudio[3363]: alsa-sink.c: Error opening PCM

device front:0: Device or resource busy
it's starting to get annoying restarting FF or Amarok all the time.
Especially w/ so many tabs open.
