[opensuse] GUI application to open mailbox files directly

Hello:

I am searching for a program with graphical interface
to open unix mailbox files directly, for example mailbox files
archived on CDs. Mutt has such an option,

mutt -f mailboxfile

opens the mailbox file, list the e-mails in the file, and
e-mails in the list can be selected and read.

Is there something similar with a graphical interface?

I tried thunderbird with -file option but it did not open
the mailbox file.
