I have the V300 Photo and it works perfectly (BW, colour, slides, you
name it). I suspect that there would be little difference between the
drivers for either.

If you look at the Sane site you will see that even my v300 is
"unsupported" but it works perfectly as there is a driver, epkowa, which
supports it.

Yes, I saw that this whole range of scanners is "unsupported". I'm reasonably sure that the V330 and your V300 is very similar, so I can assume that the epkowa will be seen and used to support the V330.
