If you look at the Sane site you will see that even my v300 is
"unsupported" but it works perfectly as there is a driver, epkowa, which
supports it.

Yes, I saw that this whole range of scanners is "unsupported". I'm reasonably sure that the V330 and your V300 is very similar, so I can assume that the epkowa will be seen and used to support the V330.
