[opensuse] Hibernation again

Did something change lately?
kernel: 3.1.10-3.1.10-54-pae --- Kernel Builds for openSUSE-12.1 (standard)
Hibernating (or trying to) from within KDE4 does only lock the screen. Using pm_hibernation does nothing at all.
This however works just fine:
echo platform > /sys/power/disk
echo disk > /sys/power/state
