Mldonkey too old? LowID?

Ubuntu Users,
So far as I know, I have the latest MLDonkey server (or is it a client?) available through Synaptic. But I keep getting the following error:
| ERROR : Your edonkey client is too old, please update it
| WARNING : You have a lowid. Please review your network config and/or your settings.
How do I resolve these errors?
