I"m with you. I am commenting on the absence of what I consider to be 'high end' server installs.

By the way, the services admin app (gnome) is just awfull. :) (A little off topic)

installation, having to type 'sudo apt-get install gnome-desktop' is not
going to make a difference.

If Ubuntu didn't have a gui-less server install, I'd probably go back to
Debian for my servers.
