I am an ubuntu user who's been using Amarok successfully till earlier
today. Now when I start it up, I get the following error message (in
the terminal):
QLayout: Adding KToolBar/mainToolBar (child of QVBox/unnamed) to
layout for PlaylistWindow/PlaylistWindow
QPainter::begin: Cannot paint null pixmap
kio (Scheduler): FATAL: BUG! _ScheduleJob(): No extraJobData for job!
Could not find 'kmail' executable.
I also get a gui popup window saying "Could not 'Kmail' executable"
What caused this problem, how do I report this as a bug? Is there an
easy way to fix this?
What happens if you try it as a different user? Create a "test" user and
add that user to the same groups as your usual user (obviously "audio" is
one of the important groups here) , the rest might look like
test (or whatever you call the new user) adm dialout cdrom floppy audio
dip video plugdev lpadmin scanner
The reasoning is that it might be an issue with some of the user's dot
files .
If the new user "works" at least you can move any amarok or kde related
dot files out of the way and see if that helps. Seems an odd error message.
