FATAL: Error inserting apm

I am getting a run of these in /var/log/daemon.log:
modprobe: FATAL: Error inserting apm
(/lib/modules/2.6.12-9-386/kernel/arch/i386/kernel/apm.ko): No such device
Anybody know if I need to do anything about this, or if I can do something to
fix this problem?
I have no idea if it is effecting my system yet, however.
